Leave a Legacy through a Bequest 


A bequest can be made by naming the Quitman Lake Country Charitable Foundation in your will or life insurance.  By making a bequest, you leave a lasting legacy to be remembered, lessen the burden of taxes on your family, maximize the impact of your estate, and may receive estate tax savings.


When making a bequest, it is important to name precisely the Quitman Lake Country Charitable Foundation. In order to make a bequest, you should speak with your attorney who can ensure the Quitman Lake Country Charitable Foundation is properly included in your estate plan.  The following is the appropriate language to use when including the Quitman Lake Country Charitable Foundation in your estate plans.

"I give, devise and bequeath to Quitman Lake Country Charitable Foundation, a non-profit organization, located in Quitman, Texas, tax id 46-3478615, the sum of (or % of my estate),  to be used for (designated purpose or) its general programs in charitable relief as it shall determine."

Documenting your gift provides clear instructions regarding the asset you are contributing and clear instructions about how your gift should be used.
